Another Infrastructure (AI) Collaboration – North Clondalkin

Artist ensemble Drop Table have been developing their IN CONTEXT Public artwork working with North Clondalkin Library and local communities in the Ronanstown, Collinstown, and Rowlagh areas. Coming together for a collective meeting in April 2026, the Drop Table team discussed their ongoing approaches to working with different community members, and how to bring this together into a group project.

Drop Table's seven artists are working on the theme of 'Another Infrastructure (AI)', looking at the environmental and social impact of data infrastructure. In an area with many data centres, the artist team are focussing on how to build community infrastructures of care, data, knowledge and food.

The artists are working with different local communities:

Duo Paddy Mulvihill and Heather Griffin (Living Rhythms) are working on care infrastructures with the Women's Collective
Alisha Doody is working on community and game infrastructure with the Stairlings Collective and the local LGBT+ community
Paul O'Neill is creating a project about the library as data infrastructure working with North Clondalkin Library staff
Dasha Ilina is creating a storytelling data archive with crochet group Square Grannies
Shane Finan is working with Ronanstown Youth Service on creating systems of fungible money
Amy Bunce is creating 'slop' and cookies – food systems challenging an AI age

Each artist's project is working toward a collective artwork and documentation to be released in November 2026. On August 29th, the team will come together for an activity day with talks, workshops and presentations at North Clondalkin Library to introduce the projects, how they are currently coming together, and giving a chance for the communities to meet one another.
