The Garden Shed Manifesto - Free Community Celebration

South Dublin County Council (SDCC) Arts Office invites residents to celebrate The Garden Shed Manifesto, a public art and climate action project by artists Gráinne O'Carroll and Ghiath Al Jebawi.

Over the summer, the project has brought neighbours, students and scouts together through gardening, foraging, storytelling and making - reimagining local green spaces as shared ecosystems for both people and nature.

The morning features live music from The Dublin Country Club, a two-step dance workshop with Zoe Basha at 12pm (all ages), and an exhibition of photographs and textiles created in earlier workshops. Drop-in activities run 11am–1pm: seed-ball games, sun-printing demonstrations, plant to take home, and tea and coffee.

The day closes with a mini community parade from 1pm, led by horse and cart.

Everyone is welcome, free of charge, outdoors on the green at Avonbeg field or inside Dominics Community Centre if raining.

The Garden Shed Manifesto is commissioned by SDCC for IN CONTEXT 5 – Connect, under the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
